Macron presents a new capsule clothing collection for Bologna University

The co-branding project launched in 2019 that links CUSB (The Sports Centre and official licensee of Bologna University) to Macron, the leading brand in sportswear in Italy and worldwide, has given rise to a new capsule collection of Alma Mater clothing that expresses the prestige and historic heritage of Bologna University with a touch of modernity and a clear commitment to sustainability.

The collection is made up of sweatshirts, T-shirts, polos, trousers, backpacks and caps, all characterised by an iconic design and superior quality, and all conceived to offer male and female students and their friends the ultimate in comfort and convenience. Clothing items come in white, navy blue, black and melange grey in addition to the iconic Unibo red.

The new black backpack is particularly functional and features a contrasting red zip and a special rubber version of the Alma Mater logo. This product is ideal for work, study and leisure thanks to its large capacity, external pockets and sporty but elegant design. The cap is made from breathable material and also features a rubber logo and contrasting red trim just like the backpack.

The new collection is made from an innovative, highly sustainable cotton selected by BCI (the Better Cotton Initiative), the world’s largest sustainable cotton programme, which Macron supports. This latest initiative falls neatly under the ambitious “Macron 4 the Planet” project, which expresses Macron’s commitment to greater sustainability and is dedicated to producing top-quality and long-lasting products with a reduced environmental impact.

The new collection is being promoted in a campaign jointly produced by Macron and CUSB.

Lifestyle photographer Simone Bramante has succeeded in capturing the essence of the new clothing line in shots taken in charming Bolognese settings like the Archiginnasio palace, Piazza Maggiore, Piazza Minghetti, Via delle Pescherie Vecchie and Via de Pepoli. The photoshoot features new garments worn by 3 top CUSB student athletes who admirably convey the sporting spirit of the Alma Mater.

The new collection, like all official Alma Mater Studiorum merchandise, can be purchased from the Unibo Store in Piazza Verdi, the CUSB Corner Stores in the Record University Sports Centre (Via del Pilastro) and Alma Gym UNIone gym (Via Azzo Gardino), the Macron Stores in Galleria Cavour and Bologna Airport, the Macron Sports Hub in Via Stalingrado, and from the E-commerce site for the Unibo 2024 clothing collection.
