Macron takes the field for Oncology
The Hero Company, an international leader in the sportswear sector, has donated 15,000 euros to the project "Lo spazio che cura" of Fondazione Policlinico Sant'Orsola, a project that aims to give patients a modern space where they can receive their treatment in greater comfort. An important show of support from Macron, which from the beginning of the Pandemic emergency have made their involvement and commitment in the community’s health service provision a priority.
"We are delighted to once again and concretely be able to support the Fondazione Policlinico Sant'Orsola - said Gianluca Pavanello, CEO of Macron – an organisation which has participated with enthusiasm and a great sense of responsibility in this initiative to support those who truly take on important challenges every day. Both as a company closely linked to the territory and as individuals who live in, work with, and are part of this community, it is our responsibility to contribute to the cause".
In the first year of the Pandemic, Macron was one of the first companies to take the field in support of the Fondazione Policlinico Sant'Orsola's projects for Bologna’s hospitals. In March 2020 Macron made two significant donations. In October, they provided 10,000 masks to the volunteers of the Foundation and all the associations at Sant'Orsola to support their activities, and then made another major donation in November.
"This generosity, which does not diminish with the mitigation of the pandemic, but rather continues to provide an embrace for those who are going through a difficult time due to other illnesses, is one of the most beautiful gestures for our community. - commented Giacomo Faldella, president of the Fondazione Policlinico Sant'Orsola - A heartfelt thank you to Macron for this concrete commitment, for involving employees and for giving strength to those who heal and those who need healing".
Thanks to everyone's support it will be possible to give the city a completely new Oncology ward: new floors, new ceilings, new lighting, new wall paint. In this place, every patient will be able to count on rooms with the latest generation of electric beds, soundproof curtains to guarantee greater privacy, completely renovated en-suite bathrooms, balconies transformed into winter gardens, and music, thanks to a piped music system.
