ARMINIA BIELEFELD AND MACRON UNVEIL NEW ENVIRONMENTALLY SUSTAINABLE JERSEYS FOR THE 2021/22 SEASON

Historic Bundesliga club Arminia Bielefeld and leading teamwear brand Macron have unveiled the new jerseys to be worn in the upcoming 2021/22 season. In reflection of Macron’s commitment to sustainability – an ethos fully shared by all clubs who wear Macron kits – the new match jerseys are designed to promote sustainability and respect for the environment through the use of Eco-Softlock, a type of polyester made using 100% recycled plastic and certified according to the Global Recycled Standard.

The brand-new home jersey from Macron, the technical sponsor of the German club, features a V-neck collar with knitted trim. The front of the shirt is dominated by three large vertical strips – the outer two in blue, either side of the central strip in black – while the blue sleeves feature black and white trim. The rear of the neck includes a label with the lettering SPORTCLUB DER OSTWESTFALEN, while the city’s historic crest is positioned on the inner part of the neck. The Macron Hero logo in printed silicon is positioned on the right breast, while the Arminia Bielefeld has pride of place on the left side, over the heart. Completing the home kit are white shorts and socks.

The away jersey has an all-black theme and features a mandarin collar with blue trim, which is also used for the sleeves. The main feature of the jersey is an embossed graphic featuring three broken stripes in a tone-on-tone effect, designed to evoke the crest of the city, which appears at the back of the neck. The Macron Hero logo in silicon and the club crest are positioned on the chest. The away kit also features black shorts with a white drawstring, plus black socks with a blue stripe at the top.

Last but certainly not least, the third kit features a red torso with maroon sleeves embellished with white dealing, plus a mandarin collar. Dominating the front of the third kit are the embossed letters B I E, with the E positioned horizontally to represent the Bielefeld city logo, all in a tone-on-tone effect. The finishing touches are supplied by the red shorts with a white drawstring, plus red socks with a maroon stripe at the top.

All of the jerseys are slim fit. The main fabric used is Eco-Softlock, while the inclusion of inserts in Eco-Mesh ensure maximum lightness and breathability.
