TURQUOISE, NAVY BLUE AND A GREEN SOUL FOR THE UDINESE CALCIO FOOTBALL CLUB ‘AWAY’ SHIRT WITH THE NEW DACIA BRAND IDENTITY

Last year, Udinese Calcio was the first top club sporting Macron to present its shirt made in Eco-Softlock, made from recycled plastic and certified in accordance with the most important international standard for the sustainable production of clothing and textiles: the Global Recycled Standard. The Friuli-based company immediately embraced the Italian brand’s ‘green’ choice, as it is equally concerned about sustainability and environmental friendliness. This eco-focus is renewed with the presentation of the new ‘Away’ shirt that the club’s players will be wearing next season.

The new kit for the 2021/2022 season features the new Dacia logo, which was revealed - together with the shirt - during a joint press conference held today in the auditorium of Dacia Arena, the perfect location considering the green soul of the club’s stadium. Indeed, throughout the 2019/2020 sports season, Udinese Calcio launched the ambitious project "CO2 free stadium", with the aim of making Dacia Arena an increasingly eco-sustainable stadium. The stadium is in fact powered with supplies of electricity originating from certified renewable sources and zero environmental impact gas. Thanks to the green supplies, more than 1,500 tonnes of CO2 were avoided last season.

For Udinese Calcio’s second shirt, the chosen colour scheme includes navy blue, on the chest and sleeves, fading gradually to make room for turquoise. The garment is embellished with tone-on-tone dye-sublimation graphics featuring wavy horizontal lines which are thinner on the chest, vertical and broader in the centre and at the hem.

Navy blue Mandarin collar with two turquoise stripes. Internal backneck customised with the club logo and the wording 125 ANNI DI PASSIONE (125 YEAR-LONG PASSION), while the external one on the back of the collar sports the wording La Passione è la nostra Forza (Passion Fuels Us) embroidered in white. A silicone printed Macron Hero logo adorns the right breast, with the badge of Udinese Calcio on the left.

The close partnership between Macron and Udinese Calcio is further consolidated in the production of unique and exclusive game kits, featuring impeccable designs and sophisticated graphics which refer to the history and symbols of the football club and, thanks to the shared all-‘green’ philosophy, also become an important message to raise awareness on the hot topic of saving the planet. So the new away kit is much more than a shirt, and rather represents the summary of a common vision shared by Udinese Calcio and its partners, sponsoring common values such as environmental sustainability and, as a club, lining up with the sensitivity of a historical partner the likes of Dacia to organise the production of the new game kits in keeping with the latest developments, such as Dacia’s all-new brand identity.
