Tradition and sustainability for Stoke City FC’s new Home shirts

A shirt that respects the club’s traditions without vacating the latest style innovations: Stoke City FC, one of the oldest professional football teams in England and the world, proudly presents their new ‘Home’ kit, which will be worn by the Potters in the 2023-24 season of the English Football League Championship. The shirt, which marks the eighth season of partnership between the Stoke-on-Trent club and Macron, delivers a strong message of sustainability and respect for the environment. Stoke City FC’s new ‘Home’ kit is made from Eco Fabric, a polyester material 100% derived from recycled plastic.

This new ‘Home’ shirt has restored its polo neck style, and respects the traditional pattern of red and white vertical stripes. These, however, are narrower and therefore reminiscent of the shirts worn by Stoke City in the late ’90s and early 2000s. The inside neck label is customised with the team’s colours and club badge, along with the Macron logo and the wording ‘Designed in Bologna’ validating that each garment is designed and developed in the Italian Headquarters.

The Macron Hero logo appears on the right side of the chest, while the badge of Stoke City FC takes its place over the heart. The words ‘STOKE CITY’ appear at the outside nape of the neck. The sleeve cuffs are white with a black line, and enclosed by two thinner red lines. The ‘Home’ kit is completed by white shorts, with red stripes going down the sides, and white socks with red and black stripes around the top and a red triangle on the calf.

The shirt is made mainly from Eco-Softlock with Eco-Mesh inserts for less weight and perfect breathability. As with all the garments in the teamwear line produced by Macron for Stoke City FC, the new ‘Home’ kit can be purchased from the section of the macron.com website dedicated to the club.
