The new Macron Home kit for Bologna Fc 1909: a Love Act for the season of the return to Europe

In the last home match of this season, against Juventus, Bologna FC 1909 will take the pitch in the new ‘Home’ kit for the 2024-2025 season, designed and made by Macron, the club’s historic technical sponsor. Next season, the new kit will accompany the Emilian club to Europe’s most prestigious football stadiums.

Bologna FC 1909 presented the new ‘Home’ kit in a photoshoot event held at Bologna’s Teatro Comunale and entitled “Love Act – Atto d’Amore” to emphasise the fantastic journey taken by the team and its increasingly enthusiastic and passionate supporters. The kit combines tradition with technical and stylistic innovation. For the first time ever, Bologna will be wearing Eco Exalock, a jacquard fabric characterised by a fine, all-over weave and a different ‘look and feel’ compared to conventional technical sportswear fabrics. This choice of fabric combines functionality with elegant details and visual references to the history of the club. The new kit also confirms the shared commitment of club and technical sponsor to the cause of environmental sustainability, being made entirely from Eco Fabric, a material derived entirely from recycled plastic.

The new ‘Home 2024-25’ shirt maintains the club’s traditional four red and blue vertical stripes, embellished by the attractive jacquard weave, along with a crew neck and knitted sleeve cuffs. The customised inside neck label features the club’s colours and the dates 1925-2025 in gold. The Championship Cup appears in the centre with the figure 100, celebrating the 100^th anniversary of Bologna’s first championship win, in the 1924-25 season. The label is completed by the Macron logo and the wording ‘Designed in Bologna’, certifying that the garment is conceived, designed and developed at Macron’s Valsamoggia Campus, a few minutes from Bologna and the ‘Niccolò Galli’ Training Centre in Casteldebole. The Bologna FC 1909 logo is printed in silicone on the left of the chest and the Macron Hero on the right.

The club’s motto, “WE ARE ONE” is printed on the back. The shirt has details in yellow, the colour worn for the club’s last season in the UEFA Cup. An elastic tape inside the bottom of the shirt back repeats the dates 1925-2025 interspersed with images of the Championship Cup.

The new ‘Home’ kit is completed by white shorts with elegant red and blue details on the sides and leg bottoms. The socks are in navy blue with two horizontal red stripes on the calf and the name ‘BOLOGNA’ at the front.

The new 2024-2025 Home shirt is a Slim Fit garment and is made entirely from Eco Fabric. More specifically, it is in Eco Exalock with an Eco Micromesh panel in the back for reduced weight and improved breathability.
