Macron’s new Home kits for APOEL FC, inspired by a glorious past
Past glories provide the inspiration for the new 2024-25 Home kits that APOEL FC will wear for next season’s national and international games. Thanks to the Cypriot Championship won at the end of last season, the Nicosia-based club is now preparing for the preliminary rounds of the 2024/25 UEFA Champions League, which start today, 23rd of July. In keeping with tradition, the new kits look to the past and draw inspiration from the colours of the club.
APOEL FC’s new Home shirt is mainly yellow but with a broad horizontal band in royal blue in the centre and details in the same colour on the neck and sleeves. The design is based largely on the shirt used by the club in the 1970-1971 and 1971-1972 seasons. The shirt also adopts embossed graphics that repeat the APOEL FC logo interconnected by thin lines to create an all-over grid. The inside neck label is customised in the colours of the club and is decorated with the APOEL FC logo, the lettering ‘ΑΠΟΕΛ EΛΛΉΝΩΝ’ (APOEL ELLINON), the Macron logo and the words ‘Designed in Bologna’, certifying that the garment is conceived, designed and developed the Macron Campus.
The Macron Hero is silicone printed in navy blue on the chest, with the club’s badge alongside. An orange silicone tape running around the bottom inside hem reproduces the words sung by the fans on the terraces: Για τα αδέλφια όλα που κοιτάνε τώρα από τον ουρανό (‘For all the brothers watching from heaven’). The words ‘APOEL FC’ are embroidered in blue behind the neck. The shorts are in navy blue with a diagonal yellow stripe on the front right and back left. The socks are yellow with two horizontal blue stripes around the top and a blue band around the calf.
Like those produced for all partnered clubs, Macron’s new Slim Fit shirts for APOEL FC are made from Eco Fabric, a polyester material derived entirely from recycled post-consumer plastic. The main material is Eco Softlock but Eco Mesh inserts have been added to reduce weight and improve breathability. APOEL FC’s new match kits can also be purchased from the macron.com website.
