MACRON IS OFFICIAL TECHNICAL APPAREL PARTNER  OF BASKETBALL AUSTRALIA

Macron, the Hero company, announces a technical sponsorship agreement with Basketball Australia, Australia's premier basketball governing body. The multi-year partnership will start in January 2022. For the Italian brand, this is a sponsorship that grants an important entry into the world of basketball, further enriching Macron's presence in the Australian sports market.

As the Official Technical Apparel Partner of Basketball Australia, Macron will dress the technical staff and all national men's and women's teams, from the seniors through to the junior squads. Macron's style and design department, and Basketball Australia, are already at work to develop and produce match kits and a line of clothing with a unique and exclusive design that, from next year, will characterise technicians and athletes of Australian basketball.

Founded in 1939, Basketball Australia 'governs' Australian basketball and is responsible for developing and promoting the sport at all levels. They manage the national representatives known as the Boomers, Opals, Rollers and Gliders that participate in FIBA and Olympic/Paralympic competitions. Basketball Australia also coordinates the longest serving women’s sporting code, the Women's National Basketball League (WNBL), while developing talent through their Centre of Excellence pathway located at the Australian Institute of Sport.
