MACRON ENTERS THE RUGBY SUPER LEAGUE AS DRAGONS CATALANS’ NEW TECHNICAL SPONSOR
Hero company Macron enters the Betfred Super League as the new technical sponsor of the Dragons Catalans, the French team from Perpignan. The BSL is Europe's top-level professional rugby club competition, established in 1996 to replace the old Rugby Football League Championship dating back to 1895. Following the announcement of a multi-year agreement between the Dragons and the leading international teamwear company, the Catalan XIII will dress Macron from next season.
The Dragons Catalans were founded in 2000 and, last October, they played the Super League final against St.Helens on the Old Trafford turf. The Perpignan 'Dragons' are also the first non-British team to win the Challenge Cup since its inception (1896), thanks to their success at Wembley in August 2018 against Warrington Wolves.
The team's staff and Macron’s style and design department are already working to create the new match kits and the clothing line for next season. Garments that stand out for the quality and high performance of their materials, as well as the research and attention to detail behind their design. This ability to create highly functional 'tailor made' garments is the winning key that has led the Italian brand to establish itself in the rugby world, and now equally in the eyes of the players, staff and fans of the Dragons Catalans.
