Macron and Lech Poznan to stay together until 2028
The partnership between Macron and Lech Poznan, one of the top clubs in Polish football, is joining a list of decade-long associations. Following renewal until 2028, the partnership with the “Kolejorz” will become one of 10 consecutive years. This confirms the close bond that has developed over time and led to the creation of unique and exclusive teamwear collections with innovative graphics and meaningful details.
Lech Poznan, who won the Polish Championship in 2021-22 wearing the Macron Hero (reaching the final of the Polish Cup that same year), is one of the most successful clubs in the country, with 8 League Championships, 5 Polish Cups and 6 Polish Super Cups under their belt – a record in Polish football. The last championship season was particularly significant as it coincided with the club’s centenary year. Lech Poznan was formed in 1922 and continued as the club of the Polish State Railways for a number of decades. This is the origin of the team’s nickname of ‘Kolejorz’ – ‘the railway workers’.
“Renewal of our partnership with Lech Poznan has extended our association with the club to ten years and consolidated the bond first formed in 2018,” explains Gianluca Pavanello, CEO of Macron, “Our relationship goes far beyond the supply of teamwear and has become one of reciprocal respect and friendship. Season after season, our partnership has led to the production of collections that have told the club’s story through a combination of style, advanced technical characteristics and innovative design solutions and have always been extremely popular, with the players and the fans that pack the Municipal Stadium.”
“I think that both sides are very happy with the cooperation, hence the decision to extend it for another 5 years, that is, until 2028. We highly value Macron’s individual approach to Lech, our needs, and our history. It is of great importance to us that together we can create unique, dedicated match kits,” said Lech Poznań Chairman, Karol Klimczak.
