History and symbols, style and innovation in the new F.C. Nantes home strip

F.C. Nantes, the French Ligue 1 club, and Macron, technical sponsor of “Les Canaris”, have unveiled the new Home strip for the 2022-2023 season. A shirt that tells the story of the history and art of the city and at the same time, as in the previous season, contains a message concerning sustainability and respect for the environment due to the fact that it is made of Eco-Fabric, a 100% polyester fabric made from recycled plastic and certified by the Global Recycled Standard.

The new Home shirt is yellow with a knitted crew-neck edged in white and green, the same colour combination that we find on the sleeve edges. The back of the neck is customised with the colours and logo of the transalpine club along with the club's motto: On est Nantes. The stylistic graphic detail that characterises the French club’s new shirt is in the all-over design, in embossed and tone-on-tone graphics, which represents a detail of the Passage Pommeraye, a large 100-metre-long covered gallery spanning three floors. A unique and timeless place built in the 19th century, a historical symbol of the Breton city. A further stylish and innovative detail is the special 3D silicone embroidery of the Macron Hero, the Italian brand’s logo, and the F.C. Nantes badge on the breast. Eight gold stars, corresponding to the French Championship titles won by the club, are embroidered in green on the back of the neck.

The home strip is completed by yellow shorts that have a cut inspired by those used in basketball and have a green-white band at the waist and on the thigh edges. The yellow socks have a green-white band in the centre. The cut of the shirt is Slim Fit, the main fabric is Eco-Softlock, and the presence of Eco Micromesh inserts ensures the garment's extreme lightness and breathability.

The new Home strip and other clothing items made by Macron for the transalpine club are available in the section dedicated to F.C. Nantes on the macron.com website.
