Elegant black and gold along with symbols of the city for FC Nantes’ new Macron Away kit

With their ‘Home’ kit for next season already revealed, FC Nantes and Macron have now presented the new ‘Away’ kit for 2024/25 that the French club will wear in the coming Ligue 1 championship. Along with an elegant choice of colours, the new ‘Away’ game set features a design that pays homage to the monuments and symbols of Nantes city. Like all the kits produced by Macron for sponsored clubs, this one too is made entirely from Eco Fabric, a polyester material 100% derived from recycled post-consumer plastic.

The new ‘Away’ shirt is in total black with elegant gold details on the neck and sleeve cuffs. The central body of the shirt is characterised by a dye-sub graphic that replicates the outlines of the city’s iconic places and monuments: the castle of the Dukes of Brittany, the Passage Pommeraye, the Lieu Unique and Bretagne towers, the Graslin Theatre and finally Beaujoire Stadium, the home of FC Nantes, which is celebrating its 40^th anniversary this year. The stadium was inaugurated in May 1984 in the run-up to the European football championship, hosted by France that year.

The customised inside neck label features the colours and logo of the club along with the Macron logo and the words ‘Designed in Bologna’, certifying that the garment is conceived, designed and developed at Macron’s main Campus. The Macron Hero and the FC Nantes logo both appear in gold on the chest. Embroidered in gold behind the neck are eight stars, referencing the number of French Championship titles the club has won.

The black shorts have gold bands around the leg bottoms and, as in the ‘Home’ kit, feature elements of design borrowed from the world of basketball, a mix of styles that is becoming increasingly common on football pitches today, and that makes the shorts far better suited to use off the pitch. The socks too are in black with a gold band at the top.

The Slim Fit shirt is made mainly from Eco Softlock with an Eco Micromesh panel in the back and Eco Mesh inserts for less weight and improved breathability. The new ‘Away’ kit, along with all other garments in Macron’s FC Nantes teamwear line, can be purchased from the section of the macron.com website dedicated to the club.
