The Asteras Tripolis fc strip pays homage to the territory it represents and to the entire planet that needs to be protected

Asteras Tripolis FC, a Greek club that plays in the Souper Ligka Ellada, is undoubtedly the most emblematic team in the Arcadia region, and this strong connection with its territory, as well as the theme of environmental sustainability, are expressed through the design and graphics of the new Home and Away strip produced by Macron, the technical sponsor of the yellow-and-blues.

The new Home strip consists of a yellow crew-neck shirt with blue detailing around the collar and sleeves. On the front, the shirt features a graphic made up of tone-on-tone patches of colour in the shape of the Arcadia region, which create a subtle camouflage effect. The first reference to the historic region of ancient Greece is on the back of the neck which is customised in the team colours and the words Et In Arcadia Ego, a Latin phrase often found in certain 17th century paintings or the title of works by famous artists such as Guercino or Poussin and which seals the close relationship between the club and the region it represents.

A further homage to its territory is in the inner tape at the bottom of the shirt where there is the repeated inscription Τριπολη Μαντινεια Κυνουρια Γορτυνια Μεγαλόπολη; (Tripoli, Mantineia, Kynouria, Gortyna Megalopolis), all cities of Arcadia, a name that is also embroidered in blue in the back crescent under the collar. On the bottom of the shirt, in embossed, tone-on-tone graphics, is the year the club was founded:1931. On the right breast, the Macron Hero, logo of the Italian brand, is silicon-printed in blue, on the left is the crest of Asteras Tripolis FC. Yellow shorts with a blue thigh border and yellow socks with a blue upper border complete the home strip.

The Away version conveys a clear message of attention and sensitivity to the environment and the preservation of the ecosystem, starting with the Eco-Fabric used by Macron to make the shirt, namely Eco-Softlock, 100% polyester made from recycled plastic. The shirt is light blue with anthracite grey details around the mandarin collar and on the sleeve edges and is decorated with a tone-on-tone geometric graphic that expands diagonally from the shoulders onto the right front. Like the Home shirt, the back of the neck is customised with the team colours and the words Et In Arcadia Ego.

ASTERAS is embroidered on the back of the collar in grey and on the bottom of the shirt, is the explicit phrase THERE IS NO PLANET B in embossed graphics. The Macron Hero is on the chest, in grey, next to a “negative” version of the Greek club’s crest. The shorts are in anthracite grey with a royal blue drawstring and yellow tip, while the light blue socks have an anthracite grey upper hem.
