‘ELEVATE’, Macron’s new official matchballs for the Swiss Football League: innovative, high-tech and even interactive
The Credit Suisse Super League and dieci Challenge League, the two main championships run by the Swiss Football League, will be played this coming season using new, high-tech Macron balls named ‘ELEVATE’. The official launch of the new balls was accompanied by a spectacular event held in the characteristic Waisenhausplatz square in Bern, the Swiss capital, involving freestylers, young footballers and a curious public.
The new ‘ELEVATE’ ball, which is FIFA Quality Pro certified, was designed in collaboration with the Swiss Football League and developed at the Macron Campus in Bologna using an advanced, high-tech structure. It is made from 16 thermally bonded panels and has an outer skin in textured PU for optimum performance and control. The ball’s innovative, multi-coloured custom graphics include a QR-Code that fans can use to interact with it and to access exclusive content that will be updated during the course of the season to reflect the various initiatives, promotions, events and content promoted by the Swiss Football League.
This essential accessory will be a protagonist in all Swiss professional football games and, thanks to the QR-Code, will allow the SFL and Macron to forge closer links with the supporters of the country’s many prestigious clubs. Swiss football will therefore be developing ever closer tiles with Macron, who beside being partner of the Swiss Football League for the supply of official balls and technical sportswear for match officials, also sponsors top clubs in the Credit Suisse Super League and Dieci Challenge League. FC Basel 1893 is one of the most successful teams in Swiss football, with 20 national championships, 12 Swiss Cups, one Super Cup and one League Cup. Other Credit Suisse Super League participants in the 2024/25 season will include Yverdon-Sport FC, who joined the Macron family last year, and FC Sion, who won promotion to the top division this year after just one season in the Challenge League. Last but not least is FC Thun, who will play in the Challenge League in 2024/25.
The new Macron ‘ELEVATE’ ball, which will be used by all Swiss professional football teams starting this coming season, can be purchased from the section of the Macron website dedicated to the Swiss Football League.
