Different shades of green and geometric feathers on Connacht Rugby's new Home jersey

Two shades of green and a sophisticated and exclusive graphic design characterise the new ‘Home’ jersey of Connacht Rugby, the historic Irish club that boasts 138 years of history, who this year joined the ‘Macron family’. A green that is not only on the jerseys, but also in the ‘green’ message of sustainability and respect for the environment as it contains Eco Fabric, a 100% polyester fabric from recycled plastic.

Green is the colour of Connacht Rugby and the west of Ireland, and various shades of green form the basis of the new ‘Home’ jersey that will be worn at home matches at the famous Sportsground. The polo collar is bottle green with lighter green detailing, a colour that is also found in two distinct shades on the sleeves, and the darker edges of which have a fine horizontal stripe of a brighter green. The central front and back body of the jersey is in dark green and features a graphic depicting, in an abstract and geometric manner, the feathers that feature in the team’s distinctive and historic logo. The design, in a lighter green and with a shaded effect to give the jersey more movement and depth, also continues on both sleeves.

The back neck is customised with the team logo next to the Macron logo and the words ‘Designed in Bologna’, certifying and highlighting how each garment is conceived, designed, and developed in the Italian brand's Bologna headquarters. On the chest the Macron Hero, in white, is placed in the centre, while on the left, the heart side, there is the Connacht Rugby crest depicting an eagle and an arm wielding a sword, which takes its cue from the flag of the province of Connacht.

The Home kit is completed by dark green shorts with white drawstrings and dark green socks with a bottle green upper border and a light green horizontal stripe in the middle. On the front, the Macron Hero in white and on the back, just above the ankle, the word CONNACHT. The jersey has a Body Fit cut, the main fabric used is Eco-Armevo and the presence of Eco-Boditex and Eco-Strong Mesh inserts ensure the garment's high performance and resistance, together with lightness and perfect breathability.

The new Home shirt, as well as certain items from the range of clothing designed by Macron for the Irish club, are available through the club’s official retail partner www.Elverys.ie and also through the page dedicated to Connacht Rugby on macron.com.
