Cardiff Rugby’s new Game Kits for 24-25. Sky blue and black for the Home Kit, red, black and gold for the Away

Cardiff Rugby has presented the new Macron-designed kits for the 2024/2025 season of the United Rugby Championship, due to kick off in about a month with a game against Zebre Rugby Club. The club has confirmed its traditional sky blue and black colours for the Home kit, while next season's Alternate kit will be in red and black with elegant gold details. Like all the garments Macron produces for its partnered clubs, the new shirts are made from Eco Fabric, a polyester material derived entirely from post-consumer recycled plastic.

Cardiff Rugby's new Home shirt is sky blue with horizontal black hoops outlined by thin white lines. The shirt's crew neck is black with white and sky blue details, as are the sleeve cuffs. The sleeves and shoulders are decorated with slightly relief, tone-on-tone and chevron-shaped graphics inspired by the motif on the club's logo. The customised inside neck label features the colours and logo of the club along with the Macron logo and the words 'Designed in Bologna', certifying that the garment is conceived, designed and developed at the Macron Campus. The Macron Hero is dye-sub printed on the right of the chest. The Cardiff Rugby badge appears on the left. The year of foundation of the club, 1876, is embroidered in white at the back of the neck. A large band of black inside is at the bottom of the shirt's back, with embossed graphics forming a shield motif representing Cardiff's three rivers. Black shorts with side bands complete the new 'Home' kit in the same graphic design as the shirt. The socks are sky blue with a black top and a black band outlined with white lines around the middle. The date 1876 appears on the front, just above the ankle, while the Macron Hero appears at the back.

The Alternate shirt is red with a black crew neck and gold details. Black and gold also appear on the sleeve cuffs. The shirt also has black side bands outlined with gold lines. The shoulders and sleeves repeat the embossed, tone-on-tone chevron graphics of the Home shirt. The inside neck label is also identical to that of the Home shirt. On the right of the chest is a gold Macron Hero. The date 1876 is embroidered in white at the back of the neck. The Alternate shirt also has the same embossed shield graphic representing Cardiff's three rivers at the bottom of the back. The shorts are red with black bands and gold details down the sides. The socks, too, are red with a black band at the top. The date 1876 appears in gold at the front, while behind, at calf level, is a gold Macron Hero.
