A tribute to the champions of the future on the Sale Sharks’ new jerseys

Following their brilliant performance in last season’s Gallagher Premiership, the Sale Sharks are gearing up for the new competitive year in both the English top rugby league and the Heineken Champions Cup. The English club does so by presenting the new match kits, which, together with the club’s colours and symbols, pay tribute to the many youth teams affiliated with Sale Sharks and where the future professional players train and develop their game. Jerseys that express the sense of belonging to a team with an impressive 162 year history and that also carry a message of sustainability and environmental respect. Macron, Sharks’ technical partner, makes the jerseys from Eco Fabric, 100% polyester made from recycled plastic.

The new crew-neck Home jersey is in navy blue with grey collar edging and sleeve cuffs. The inside neck is personalised with the club’s logo, the motto “Respect All Fear None”, the Macron logo and the words Designed in Bologna, certifying and highlighting how each garment is designed and developed at the Macron Headquarters. The Macron Hero appears in white on the right side of the chest, and the Sale Sharks crest on the left. Two graphic details distinguish the new Home kit: the names of the youth teams affiliated with the club are printed along the sides on a grey background, while the bottom of the jersey features an embossed shark design. The shorts are in navy blue with grey side panels, the navy blue socks with a grey stripe on the upper edge have the Macron Hero on the front and 1861, the date of the club’s foundation, on the back.

The Away version mirrors the design of the first jersey in light blue with a crew neck and sleeve edging in white. Again, the names of the affiliated clubs are inserted along the sides of the jersey and the shark design, symbol of the team, stands out in relief on the lower back. The Macron Hero and the badge of the Sale Sharks are embroidered in white on the chest. The shorts are light blue with white side panels, the light blue socks have a white upper edge and a series of horizontal white stripes of different heights that create a shaded effect.

The Body Fit shirts are made mainly from Eco-Armevo with Eco-Boditex and Eco-Strong Mesh inserts for maximum strength along with lightness and perfect breathability.
