A shark’s fin for Sale Sharks’ new home shirt
For a shark, a fin means movement, balance and strength, and these same properties are just as essential on the rugby pitch. Sale Sharks have these values in their DNA and understand their importance. The shark’s fin is the graphic motif that characterises the new Home kit which the will be wearing next season. The shirt the club has just presented is made from Eco-Fabric, a 100% polyester fabric made from recycled plastic in accordance with the club’s commitment to sustainability and respect for the environment.
The new ‘Home’ shirt features a contrast between two shades of blue, one darker and the other lighter. The polo neck has white trim as do the sleeves. The backneck is customised with the club’s logo on a background that replicates the graphics of the shirt. The shoulders, sleeves, and sides are decorated with an embossed graphic design consisting of repeated series of sharks’ fins derived from the club logo.
The Macron Hero logo appears on the right breast while the Sale Sharks badge occupies the left breast. On the back of the shirt, at the bottom, is an embossed shark’s fin accompanied by the year in which the club was formed: 1861. The Home kit is completed by dark blue shorts with white drawstrings and side bands that replicate the graphics of the shirt. The blue socks have a white top with a thin red line and a broad blue band around the middle.
The new Home shirts are Muscle Fit garments and are made mainly from Eco-Armevo fabric with Eco-Bodytex inserts for lightness, breathability and maximum strength. The shirts and other garments made by Macron for Sale Sharks are available from the section of the macron.com website dedicated to the club.
