A gold-coloured Third game shirt to celebrate 100 years of the Bulgarian Football Union

A special anniversary deserves to be celebrated with a special kit. Exactly 100 years after the formation of the BFU (Bulgarian Football Union, founded 16 December 1923), the national side has presented a very special Third Kit. The gold-coloured shirt emphasises and celebrates the long history of the Bulgarian football federation and also conveys a clear message of sustainability. This is because all the kits produced by Macron, who became technical sponsor to the Bulgarian Football Union this year, are made from Eco Fabric, a polyester fabric obtained entirely from recycled plastic.

The polo neck of the new Third shirt is in navy blue, as are the shoulders and sleeves, which have gold and white stripes at the cuffs. The central body of the shirt, front and back, is in gold with a tone on tone embossed graphic inspired by the floor of the Great Basilica of Pliska, one of the largest mediaeval religious complexes in the south east of Europe and a historical symbol of Bulgaria. The same embossed graphic also appears in navy blue on the shoulders and sleeves. The customised inside neck label has a white and gold background and features the logo of the Bulgarian national team along with that of Macron and the words ‘Designed in Bologna’, certifying that the garment is conceived, designed and produced at Macron's Bologna Headquarters.

The Macron Hero appears in navy blue on the right of the chest while the badge of the Bulgarian national side, in the same colour, appears on the left. The special logo designed for the BFU’s centenary is reproduced at the back of the neck, all in navy blue. The kit is completed by navy blue basket-ball style shorts with a white drawstring and a white stripe surrounded by two gold stripes at the leg bottoms. The socks are in gold with a knitted navy blue top.

The Slim Fit shirt is made mainly from Eco Softlock fabric. A back panel in Eco Micromesh and Eco Mesh inserts give the garment lightness and excellent breathability.
