It's nearly time for the women’s Six Nations

From 25 March to 29 April it will be the turn of the women’s first XVs of England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, France and Italy to occupy the spotlight on the world’s sporting stage. The 2023 edition of the TikTok Women’s Six Nations – the Six Nations rugby tournament for women – is about to begin and the Macron Hero logo will be one of its protagonists, appearing on the shirts of Italy, Scotland and Wales as well as on those of the Emirates Match Officials.

The women's tournament began in 1996 and first involved only the teams of Great Britain and Ireland. Later, it expanded to include France and Italy and become the exact counterpart of the men’s competition. The most successful team is that of England, with 18 wins, followed by France with 6, Ireland 2 and Scotland 1. The best result achieved by Wales and Italy in the Women’s Six Nations is an excellent second place, reached by Wales in 2006 (and again in 2008 and 2009) and by the Italian team in 2019.

The 2023 edition of the tournament kicks off at 15:00 on Saturday 25 March with a match between Wales and Ireland, followed by a game between England and Ireland at Kingston Park. On Sunday 26 March the spotlights will come on in Parma’s Lanfranchi stadium where Italy will host France in a match that will also decide the winners of the Anita Garibaldi Trophy, the women’s trophy corresponding to the ‘Giuseppe Garibaldi’ trophy played for by the French and Italian men’s XVs.

Partnership with three of the six national squads as well as the match officials confirms Macron's role as European leader in rugby teamwear. We extend our best wishes to the entire women’s rugby movement, and look forward to an exciting and action-packed tournament.

The sense of challenge, the determination of the players and the ability to suffer in order to achieve victory confirm that nothing can beat rugby as an embodiment of the true essence of sport, sense of belonging and determination to compete as a team and as an individual. #BecomeYourOwnHero.
