The maple leaf and the Canadian provinces and territories adorn the new Macron shirts for Rugby Canada

Rugby Canada and Macron, technical partner of the Canadian rugby federation since 2020, have unveiled the new match kits that will be worn by the National team starting from their forthcoming international fixtures. The maple leaf, a symbol of Canada, characterises both the Home and Away shirts, which also pay homage to the territories and provinces represented by the National squad.

The new Rugby Canada 2024/25 Home jersey is red with a white crew neck and sleeve cuffs, the latter enhanced by a red stripe in the centre. Both the front and back feature a tone-on-tone, dye-sub print of maple leaves in various sizes and positions, creating the impression of an upward movement. The names of all 13 provinces and territories of Canada are printed tone-on-tone down the sides of the shirt. The customised inside neck label features the colours and crest of Rugby Canada, together with the Macron logo and the words Designed in Bologna, certifying that the garment is conceived, designed and developed at the Macron Campus. The inside neck also sports a silicone tape customised with the phrase “C’est plus que du rugby. C’est le Canada”, in a repeat print punctuated by a maple leaf. The Macron Hero is silicone-printed on the right chest, with the Rugby Canada crest, also in silicone, on the left. The shorts are red, with the maple leaf graphic from the shirt down the sides. The red socks have a white band at the top with a horizontal red stripe in the centre.

The Away shirt is white with a black crew neck and sleeve cuffs, the latter also featuring red details. The maple leaf design that appears on both the front and back of the body is similar to that of the Home jersey, but with a greater number of leaves and the addition of grey and black tones, as well as several red maple leaves. Black side bands bear the names of the 13 Canadian provinces and territories printed in grey. The inside neck label and silicone tape are customised just like the Home jersey, and the Macron Hero appears in black next to the crest of the Canadian Rugby Federation. The all-black shorts have white drawstrings, and the graphic motif from the shirt is reproposed on the sides. The socks are white and feature two horizontal red and black bands in the centre.

Both Body Fit shirts are made from Eco Fabric, a polyester material derived entirely from recycled plastic. A clear message of sustainability and respect for the environment which is fully shared by both Rugby Canada and Macron. More specifically, the fabrics used are Eco-Armevo with inserts in Eco-Boditex and Eco-Strong Mesh, materials that are not only lightweight and breathable, but also extremely tough on the field.
