Reading FC extend partnership with Macron
The technical partnership between Reading FC and Macron is to be extended. The collaboration, which dates back to 2019, is being renewed for the long term as a result of the excellent relationship that has developed between the Berkshire club and the Italian company.
The partnership is firmly based on a commitment to sustainability and environmental protection shared by both parties. This is demonstrated firstly by the choice of Eco Fabric, a material derived entirely from recycled plastic, to make the club’s teamwear, and secondly by the Reading FC’s commitment to raising awareness around the issue of global warming by means of dedicated graphics on last year’s kits and again on those for the coming season.
“Our Partnership with Reading has been based on close collaboration and shared values, therefore it’s natural for us to continue our journey together,” declared Gianluca Pavanello, CEO of Macron. “There are many ideas and opportunities from both sides to develop our relationship further and we look forward to supporting the club and, where possible, communicating inspiring messages through our range of garments.”
Tim Kilpatrick, Reading FC’s Head of Commercial, said “Our partnership with Macron has been a huge success to date, therefore we are delighted to sign a new long-term agreement. Through Macron’s custom and creative approach, we have been able to create high quality, inspiring product ranges which not only deliver the best possible sportswear for our playing staff and coaches, but also inspire emotion, behaviours and hopefully pride. This has been showcased via our 21/22 anniversary kits, our 22/23 climate stripes design and hopefully our recent 23/24 range which pays homage to our town and our community. We are thankful for Macron’s close collaboration and look forward to working together for years to come.”
