Macron Clubhouse, The New 'Beyond Performance' Collection By Macron

Macron will be exhibiting at Pitti Uomo 2024, the world’s most important event dedicated to men’s fashion, to be held from 11 to 14 June in Florence. The Bologna-based company will present a new high-end collection called ‘Macron Clubhouse’, which embodies the concept of ‘beyond performance’, i.e. garments with a functional design, made of high quality, high performance and innovative materials that, starting from the world of sport, can be worn and used in everyday life.

A ‘Clubhouse’ is a place where athletes and fans meet to celebrate the moments and emotions of sport and share its values. It is a space where these sporting values are reflected in everyday life, in daily gestures and commitments, and where Italian design, high quality, refined details, and technical and stylistic innovation distinguish clothing. Padel, in this sense, represents a perfect ‘bridge’, capable of bringing together fun and competitive spirit, sporting activity and leisure time, and technicality of materials and style.

Sport, performance, and the dynamism of racquet sports remain the central elements in the new collections, with the men’s line also including styles more related to fitness training and the women’s line embracing yoga and holistic disciplines. In both cases, however, the collections are not designed for pure sporting practice but for an ever-increasing combination of on and off the field. Garments that can, therefore, be used in everyday life, allowing you to feel elegant, comfortable, and at ease in all kinds of situations.

Macron Clubhouse is a fundamental project for us, conceived to elevate the perception of our brand further, bring the technicality, sophistication and ‘Designed in Bologna’ style that characterises Macron off the field too – said Gianluca Pavanello, CEO of Macron – Presenting it at an event like Pitti Uomo 2024 is a real declaration of intent for us: sport and fashion today are connected in so many ways, and Macron Clubhouse fits perfectly into this context. This project aims to guarantee the path of constant growth that has always characterised our company, flanking our two main business streams, i.e. Teamwear and Merchandising, with an ever-increasing boost to the Consumer component. This does not mean altering our DNA, which is and will remain linked to sports performance, but rather broadening our range of action. With Macron Clubhouse, performance leaves the field and enters everyday life, and this can certainly represent a great opportunity for us”.

Technical and stylistic excellence and the ability to best interpret the needs of those who practice sports have enabled Macron to become the European leader in producing and selling active sportswear. The company is growing steadily, with a turnover of 196 million Euros recorded in 2023, representing a significant increase of 15% compared to the previous year. The UK is confirmed as Macron’s first market, followed by Italy and Spain, but growth has been broadly consistent across all countries in which the brand operates. This confirms the international vision and multi-country strategy, with over 80% of sales generated outside Italy.

The technical sponsorship portfolio is undoubtedly prestigious, with over 90 professional clubs and federations worldwide wearing Macron. For the past four years, Macron has been a UEFA partner and has dressed the referees of all European competitions, such as the upcoming EURO 2024 in Germany in which, in addition to the referees, two Macron national teams will also be on the pitch: Albania and Georgia. In rugby, it is an authentic leadership, with the Macron Hero featured on the shirts of some of Europe’s most important national teams and clubs. In the Rugby World Cup 2023 in France, 7 out of 20 nations wore Macron garments, and among the ‘Six Nations’ teams, three have the Macron Hero on their shirts: Italy, Scotland and Wales.

2024 for Macron means investing in quality to grow further as a company. 25 million euros invested in the Macron Campus project, which involves the construction of two new buildings in an area adjacent to the company’s current Headquarters. A multifunctional area with offices and showrooms, sports fields for testing materials, and new areas dedicated to production activities, storage and shipment. A true Campus, with the aim of making the spaces dedicated to employees and the company’s development even more functional and avant-garde.

The new ‘Clubhouse’ clothing line is the concrete expression of a shared commitment to always reach the highest goal, whether technical, quality or performance. There is no doubt that this collection, which Macron is proud to present at Pitti Uomo, has a technical DNA due to its coherence with the company’s roots and know-how. Still, these very roots represent a decisive plus in making a natural transition from on to off the field, from competition to socialising. All with tailoring, style, elegance and taste typically ‘Designed in Bologna’.
