Identity and optical graphics for the new Oxford United FC Home Kit by Macron, marking the return to the Championship

The excitement of the historic achievement at Wembley has yet to fade at Oxford United, which has won promotion to the Sky Bet Championship after a 25-year wait. In less than two weeks, the U’s will start their journey in the English second tier, with the first league game to be played at home, at the Kassam Stadium, against Norwich City.

The English club is ready, as is the new 2024/25 Home Kit, made by Macron and officially presented a few hours before the pre-season game against Premier League side Southampton FC. A uniform that enhances the club’s identity and combines it with an elegant and sophisticated graphic design. As with all of Macron’s partner clubs, the kit is made from Eco Fabric, a 100% polyester fabric made from post-consumer plastic recycling.

Oxford United’s new 2024/25 Home shirt is predominantly yellow and has a V-neck. The shirt features an all-over and sublimation print design, with geometric shapes in various shades of yellow creating an optical effect. The Macron Hero is applied in navy blue on the right side of the chest, while the HD patch of the Oxford United crest is on the left side.

The backneck is customised with yellow lightning elements on a navy blue background, and it features the club crest, the Macron logo and the words ‘Designed in Bologna’, certifying and highlighting how each garment is conceived, designed and developed on the Macron Campus. Another customised detail is also on the inside of the collar, a siliconised tape on which the words ‘DREAM. INSPIRE.’ appear repeated and interspersed with the drawing of the head of the ox, the symbol of the English club that celebrates 131 years of history this year.

The Home kit is completed with navy blue shorts with yellow detailing, and with yellow socks with a lighter shade of yellow and a knitted upper border. The shirt has a slim fit and the main fabric is Eco Softlock. The Eco Micromeshback panel and Eco Mesh inserts ensure the garment’s lightness and perfect breathability.
