History, tradition, symbols and the peaks of Mount Ararat on Macron’s new Home and Away Kits for Armenia

Macron and the Football Federation of Armenia have presented the new kits that Armenian players will wear in next season’s international games. The new game sets are characterised by the colours and symbols of the Armenian nation and convey a clear message of sustainability and respect for the environment. Like all the kits that Macron produces for partner federations, the latest game sets for Armenia are made from Eco Fabric, a polyester material derived entirely from recycled post-consumer plastic.

The new crew-neck Home shirt comes in dark red with details in red, blue and orange – the colours of the Armenian flag – on the sleeve cuffs. At the bottom of the shirt front in a slightly darker red is the outline of Mount Ararat, the two-peaked mountain of volcanic origin that dominates the panorama around Erevan, the capital of Armenia. The Macron Hero and the badge of the Football Federation of Armenia are both printed in silicone on the chest. The custom inside neck label has a dark red background with diagonal stripes in the red, blue and orange of the Armenian flag. The label is decorated with the logo of the FFA, that of Macron and the words ‘Designed in Bologna’, certifying that the garment is conceived, designed and developed at the Macron Campus. An Armenian flag is printed behind the neck. The shorts and socks are also in dark red, but the socks have three bands in red, blue and orange around the middle.

The Away shirt is all in white with, on the side, three brush-effect diagonal bands in the traditional red, blue and orange of the national flag. The shirt has a knitted crew neck and sleeves decorated with embossed graphics depicting ornamental motifs typical of Armenian culture. A Macron Hero in dark red silicone is applied to the right of the chest while the logo of the FFA appears on the left. The letters ՀԱՅԱՍՏԱՆ (Armenia) are embroidered in dark red behind the neck. The shorts and socks are also in white but the latter have three bands in red, blue and orange around the middle.

All the new Armenian shirt variants are Slim Fit garments. The shirts are made mainly from Eco Softlock with a back panel in Eco Micromesh and Eco Mesh inserts for lightness and breathability.
