Arminia Bielefeld presents three new shirts for the 2023-2024 season
The historic German football club Arminia Bielefeld has just revealed the three new match kits that “die Arminen” will wear for the coming season. The new kits are characterised by the club’s traditional colours and symbols but also help raise awareness around the issues of sustainability and the environment thanks to the unique fabric chosen by Macron to make them: Eco Fabric, a polyester material derived entirely from recycled plastic.
The new Arminia Bielefeld ‘Home’ shirt has a crew neck and comes in the traditional Arminia Bielefeld colours. The body is blue while the shoulders and sleeves are black and white. The inside label is customised with the colours and logo of the club along with the Macron Hero logo and the words ‘Designed in Bologna’ certifying that the garment is conceived, designed and produced at Macron's Bologna Headquarters. 1905, the year the club was first formed, is embroidered in white on the back of the neck. The club owes its name to the legendary Arminius, the hero of the Battle of Teutoburg Forest, which stopped the advance of the Romans in Germany. The Macron Hero is silicone printed on the right of the chest and the badge of Arminia Bielefeld on the left. In the middle, under the neck is one of the details that characterise this shirt: a dye-sub printed chevron motif. The shorts are black and the socks blue with a black top band and a chevron motif on the calf.
The ‘Away’ shirt is black with the shoulders and half of the sleeves in white. The same chevron motif seen on the ‘Home’ shirt appears under the crew neck between the Macron Hero logo and the club badge. The central section of this shirt is made from a different material, a chequer-effect Eco Jaquard. The shorts and socks are black, but the socks also have a thin white stripe around the top.
The ‘Third’ shirt has a red body with white shoulders but otherwise repeats the designs of the ‘Home’ and ‘Away’ versions. Eco Jaquard is the fabric chosen for this shirt too, though this time with a striped rather than chequered look. The shorts are red with a white drawstring. The socks are red with a thin white stripe around the top and a white chevron on the calf.
The Arminia Bielefeld match kits and other articles of teamwear developed for the club by Macron can be purchased from the section of the macron.com website dedicated to the club.
