NEW GLASGOW WARRIORS PAY TRIBUTE TO FORMER PLAYERS AND THE CELTIC KNOT

Glasgow Warriors and Macron – the Hero company and the club’s technical sponsor – have released the new Home and Away shirts that the Scottish rugby side will wear in the 2021/22 season, which will see them compete in the Guinness Pro14, the top club rugby competition for European and South African clubs. The unique shirts are a tribute to former Warriors and feature a range of sophisticated graphic details, in trademark Macron style.

The new Home jersey follows on from last year’s offering: the main colour is black, with sky blue detailing around the mandarin collar, sleeves and sides. The back of the neck features the club's logo and WHATEVER IT TAKES motto, which reappears in sky blue on tape positioned inside the collar and on the rear of the collar. The Italian brand's Macron Hero logo appears on the right breast, with the Glasgow Warriors crest on the left, over the heart. Perhaps the distinguishing feature of the jersey, however, is the names of the centurions in tone-on-tone sublimation print covering the front, back and sides of the shirt.

The Away shirt with mandarin collar is white across the main body and sky blue at the shoulders and sleeves. The WHATEVER IT TAKES logo has pride of place on the back of the neck, the sweatband tape and the rear of the collar, with the Macron Hero logo printed in black on the right breast and the Scottish club’s logo positioned on the left. An embossed graphic on the sides depicts the Celtic Knot, which signifies the continuity of life and the flow of energy.

The shirts are in Body fit, while the fabrics used are Armevo and Bodytex, which guarantee lightness, breathability and maximum strength and comfort on the field of play.
