Macron and Esercito Italiano: style and elegance in an all-italian capsule collection

A new co-branding agreement between Macron and Esercito Italiano was presented today in Modena’s Palazzo Ducale, the prestigious home of the Military Academy. The agreement covers the production of a sportswear line that combines the technical innovation and quality typical of all Macron garments with stylish, elegant and refined design. The collection is seen as the first step in a lasting collaboration aimed at satisfying the technical requirements and performance needs of the Army’s athletes.

The Macron Hero and the star of Esercito Italiano both appear on the co-branded Capsule Collection that was presented in Modena today in the presence of Gianluca Pavanello, CEO of Macron, Brigade General Francesco Greco, Vice-Director of the Army’s General Affairs Department, and Lieutenant Colonel Angelo Carusone, Head of the Brand & Media Division of Difesa Servizi SpA.

A number of athletes and coaches from the Esercito Italiano Sports Group were present at the event: Vanessa Ferrari (Gymnastics), Giovanni Tocci (Diving), Oscar Reyes Martinez (Weightlifting), Giuliano Razzoli (Alpine Skiing), Andrea Voetter (Luge), Marion Oberhofer (Luge), Elisa Cusma Piccione (Athletics Coach) and Flavio Cannone (Gymnastics Coach).

The new collection includes sportswear for running, training and athleisure. The vests and T-shirts come in a wide range of colours (light and dark grey, ochre, light blue, black and white, and aquamarine) while the shorts, high-neck shirts and sweatshirts combine black with fluo yellow for the men and black with coral for the women. All garments in the collection boast refined graphics and are made from practical, comfortable and high-performance technical fabrics. Various T-shirts made from sustainable cotton also feature tricolour graphics in one form or another.

“It’s a source of great pride for us to display the Macron Hero alongside the emblem of Esercito Italiano. We are an Italian company after all, so a co-branding project like this, with one of our nation’s most important institutions, is a source of satisfaction and stimulus,” stated Gianluca Pavanello, CEO of Macron. “We have worked together on this clothing line, which combines the quality and technology of Macron sportswear with a stylish and elegant representation of Italian identity.

In terms of licensing activities, the policy of Esercito Italiano is to associate its own brand with Italian companies that are known for enhancing brand positioning and value. Our aim is clearly to attract young people through exciting marketing initiatives. Macron is undoubtedly the leading Italian brand in the field of stylish, high-design and innovative sportswear. Today, thanks to Difesa Servizi SpA, who made possible the licensing agreement we have just signed, we can celebrate an event of great importance for the Army,” concluded General Francesco Greco in his speech.

“The ability to promote the brands of our Armed Forces is an iconic asset for Difesa Servizi, and thanks to it our company has grown in visibility and in economic and financial solidity over the years. The market is now looking at us with increased interest, especially with a view to co-branding formulae. The agreement we signed here today demonstrates this. The Army was quick to believe in this project and the excellent results we have achieved in such a short time are the result of their great determination and commitment. I therefore thank them in the name of our Managing Director, Luca Andreoli,” declared Lieutenant Colonel Angelo Carusone.

All the garments in the Macron-Esercito Italiano co-branded collection can be purchased from the dedicated section of the macron.com website.
