Helvia Recina Volley Macerata: a legacy of steady growth and ambition paves the way for a virtuous project
If you were to ask anyone from Macerata to talk about Helvia Recina Volleyball, you'd likely catch a hint of a smile, one which carries the underlying pride and sense of belonging associated with this virtuous project. With over thirty years of history, and composed of talented and experienced players such as Ilenia Peretti - captain and veteran of the team in her eighteenth season in orange - the club has carved itself out a progressive role as a protagonist in the league and in the territory. They have leapt into the professional ranks (2018-19) in just a few years, having started off with a debut in the B2 league (2012). A continuous growth that culminated last year with the victory of the Coppa Italia Frecciarossa Serie A2 in Rimini.
YOUTH AT THE FOREFRONT
With an ambitious and sustainable project, Macerata is well aware of the irreplaceable value of the youth sector. This year, Helvia Recina Volley launched the "Volley School Macerata" project, linking the orange-black club with Volley Macerata and Paoloni Appignano to develop and foster talent among the area's young athletes, and stimulate a significant resumption of post-pandemic sports activities.
