Udinese Calcio’s new Macron Home kit, inspired by the past and celebrating 30 consecutive seasons in Serie A
Udinese’s new Home Kit 2024/25 by Macron was officially presented in the enchanting setting of the rooftop of the Hotel Columbus in Lignano Sabbiadoro, thanks to the club’s partnership with PromoTurismoFVG. The new kit of the Friulan club is characterised by the return to the traditional black and white vertical stripes: the jersey represents a combination between the past and technical innovation and graphic details. The reference, in particular, is to the jersey worn in the 1995/96 season, the first of the thirty consecutive ones Udinese have spent in Serie A since then. A streak that, currently, only Inter, Lazio, Milan and Roma can boast.
The new Udinese Calcio Home shirt for the 2024/25 season has a black polo collar with a gold band around the edge. The jersey is black and white, composed of three vertical black bands, two on the sides that continue on the sleeves and one in the middle. The black bands have a fine vertical line, also black, on the right side, while the weave of the jersey is characterised by a fine oblique striped geometric pattern in a tone-on-tone sublimated print. The design of the jersey is inspired by the one worn during the 1995/96 championship, the year in which Alberto Zaccheroni was called up to manage the team and which also saw the arrival in bianconero of the German centre forward Oliver Bierhoff. The backneck is personalised with the golden inscription ’30 E LODE’ (the best possible result in an Italian university exam) to celebrate the Friulian team’s 30th consecutive Serie A season. This phrase is meant to be a dedication to the entire Bianconeri environment, which has been decisive in achieving this goal. Another important graphic detail is on the inside backneck, where the black and white label appears with the club’s logo, the words ‘I PRIMI BIANCONERI D’ITALIA’ (‘The first black and white club in Italy’) together with the Macron logo and the words ‘Designed in Bologna’, which certify and highlight how each garment is conceived, designed and developed on the Macron Campus. The Macron Hero, in black silicone, is on the right chest, while the Udinese Calcio crest, also in silicone, is on the left.
The jersey names and numbers are black and bordered in gold, and the eagle of Friuli also appears on the numbers, which are also in gold.
The new Home kit is completed with black basketball-style shorts with white side bands and white socks with a gold band on the upper edge and a black central band, followed by the writing UDINESE 1896.
Like all the technical garments that Macron produces for its clubs, the kit is entirely made in Eco Fabric, a 100% polyester fabric derived from post-consumer plastic recycling. Specifically, the jersey is made of Eco Exalock, with the back panel in Eco Micromesh and the inserts in Eco Mesh, which ensure the garment’s lightness and perfect breathability.
Udinese Calcio’s new ‘Home’ can be purchased at the Macron Sports Hub at the Bluenergy Stadium, online at the club’s new and revamped store, which is operational as of this evening, and in the dedicated space on macron.com, where you can find the entire clothing line created by Macron for the Friulian club.
