The historic Hungarian football club Ferencváros Torna Club joins the Macron family

Hungary’s most historic football club will be wearing Macron kit in coming seasons. Ferencváros is the club that has won the most titles in the history of Hungarian football. It has the largest supporter base too. And for the foreseeable future, it will be wearing the Macron Hero. Macron and the Green Eagles of Budapest have signed a long-term partnership agreement covering not only the club’s football teams but all 20 of the disciplines it plays – and in which it has proved equally successful. All club teams will be receiving match kits, technical sportswear and merchandise with the style, design, technical content and quality that have made Macron a leader in the teamwear sector.

Ferencváros was formed in May 1899 in the Ferencváros district of Budapest by Ferenc Springer and a group of bricklayers, and the club, officially named Ferencvárosi Torna Club, soon gained the nickname of ‘The Bricklayers’ or ‘Fradi’ in Hungarian. In its 125 years of history, Ferencváros has won 35 national titles, 24 Hungarian Cups and 6 Hungarian Supercups. Its reputation is further consolidated by 1 Inter-Cities Fairs Cup, 2 Mitropa Cups, 1 Challenge Cup and 1 UEFA Intertoto Cup. On the international stage, Ferencváros is the only Hungarian club to have won major European trophies. It was also the first to qualify for the group stage of the UEFA Champions League.

Macron and Ferencváros have already begun working together to develop a new collection that will boast Macron’s usual quality, technology, design and attention to detail. The club’s new teamwear will be totally unique thanks to graphic elements inspired by Ferencváros’ history, traditions and symbols, chosen to express the identity and sense of belonging felt by players and supporters alike.
