Six Nations 2024 is set to be yet another great rugby season

The most prestigious European rugby stadiums are preparing to welcome the exciting new fixtures of the Guinness Six Nations 2024 and, this year too, the chests of three of the six participating Nations will be sporting the Macron Hero, namely Italy, Wales and Scotland. As in the previous two editions, all the Emirates Match Officials will be wearing Macron, in light of the brand’s role as technical partner of World Rugby, the world governing body of rugby union.

Originally formed as the Home Nations Championship in 1883, the Six Nations competition has reached its 130^th edition this year. The 2024 edition will kick off on 2^nd February at the Orange Velodrome in Marseilles, where France will be facing the current champions, Ireland. On Saturday 3^rd February, all the ‘Macron National Teams’ will take to the field: Italy will be facing England at the Stadio Olimpico, whereas the Principality Stadium in Cardiff will play host to the fixture between Wales and Scotland, both teams sporting the Macron Hero on their chests, in a match that will award the 2024 edition of the Doddie Weir Cup. On Friday 2nd February, the respective National Under20 teams will also be competing, with the Italians playing against the England team at the stadium in Monigo, usually ‘home’ to Benetton Treviso,whereas Wales awaits Scotland at Stadiwm CSM in Colwyn Bay.

International rugby that increasingly ‘dons’ Italian kits thanks to the superior quality technical garments that athletes and referees will be wearing on the pitches of the oldest tournament in the world. This testifies to the truly special relationship between Macron and the world of rugby, where the Italian company has taken on the leadership of technical clothing in less than a decade.
