SC Heerenveen, a new eco-friendly home shirt ‘made from the heart’

Designing a club's jersey is always a matter of appealing to the heart, like the particular shape of the water lily petals, symbol of the Dutch Eredivisie team sc Heerenveen. The new 'Home' shirt created by Macron, as of last year technical partner of the white and blue team, combines the colours and symbols of the Friesian tradition with an innovative design. A shirt with a strong graphic and emotional impact made in Eco-Fabric (a polyester fabric made from 100% recycled plastic) underlines the message of sustainability and respect for the environment shared by the Dutch team and the Italian brand.

The new 'Home' features blue and white vertical stripes. The sleeves, the details on the mandarin collar and the bands on the side of the shirt are also in blue. The backneck is customised with the club's colours and crest. The graphic highlight of the home kit is the presence of the red petals of pompeblêd, a Frisian name for the heart-shaped leaves of the yellow water lily, incorporated in red in the Frisian flag and the coat of arms of sc Heerenveen. On the bottom of the jersey is an inner tape with the inscription 'It Fryske Ian fol eare en rom' (The Friesian land full of honour and fame). On the right side of the chest, in white, is embroidered the Macron Hero, logo of the Italian brand, while on the left, heart-side, the sc Heerenveen coat of arms. A red petal is also printed on the external backneck.

White shorts and two match socks options complete the home kit: white with a blue band and stripe on the upper edge or black with a white and blue band and stripe. The main fabric used is Eco Softlock, and the presence of Eco Micromesh inserts ensures garment lightness and perfect breathability.
