Macron to partner Federazione Italiana Rugby until 2028
The partnership between Macron and Federazione Italiana Rugby has been extended and made stronger than ever. In the run-up to the home match against Wales (another Guinness Six Nations team to wear the Macron Hero logo, along with Italy and Scotland) it was announced during the pre-match press conference that the agreement with F.I.R. was being extended until 2028. This means that the partnership between these key names in Italian sport will last for over 10 years.
Macron and F.I.R. began their journey together in July 2017. Since then, the partnership has resulted in unique teamwear collections embodying the true competitive spirit of the Italian first XV. Initially based on shared values, over the years the collaboration has become one of close friendship. These solid foundations have allowed the partners to work together to offer the Italian men’s and women’s rugby teams technically excellent and stylish teamwear capable of expressing Italian identity and elegance.
Gianluca Pavanello, CEO of Macron explains. “The close ties we have with Federazione Italiana Rugby are fundamental to a partnership that we are delighted to renew. The fact that our collaboration will last for over 10 years demonstrates how well we have planned and worked together, looking to the future and collaborating on projects inspired by the spirit and values of this splendid sport. We apply the values of rugby on a daily basis to develop new match kits and collections that express the team’s identity and spirit and Italian pride in the team’s colours, on the pitch and on the terraces.”
“Macron is a true Italian company and a great example of the excellence with which we identify and for which we strive to act as ambassadors. Federazione Italiana Rugby and the Italian rugby movement will celebrate its centenary in 2028 and we are extremely pleased to do so alongside a partner that shares our vision for the sport and that, like us, uses passion, commitment and growing competitiveness to take on international competitors,” adds Marzio Innocenti, President of FIR.
