Macron and the Northern Premier League, English football speaks more and more Italian
Macron has an increasingly growing presence in English football, having partnered with many clubs in the top tier of the Football Association. The leading international teamwear brand now expands its presence further by resuming its partnership with the Northern Premier League. The Hero Company was the NPL's first long-standing partner in 2008 and now becomes the 'benchwear partner' for the next five years, providing apparel for all bench members, including coaches.
The Northern Premier Football League was founded in 1968, and since then it has grown both in terms of the number of clubs involved and the importance of the competitions it organises. Since its inception, the semi-professional football league has tripled in size, now involving 81 clubs and a pool of 400,000 fans who follow NPL matches. Many clubs on this path have achieved excellent results, including Wigan Athletic, who went on to play in the Premier League, reached the League Cup final in 2006 and won the FA Cup in 2013.
In addition to the agreement with the NPL, Macron has also signed an agreement with the Toolstation Northern Counties East League, a semi-professional league founded in 1982 and made up of two divisions that represent the ninth and tenth levels in the English football pyramid. Macron will be the Official Teamwear and Benchwear kit Partner of the NCEL for four years, starting from the 2022-2023 season. An agreement that also sees the active involvement of Macron Stores in Manchester, Wakefield and Nottingham.
These partnerships will allow Macron to further increase its presence and recognition in the UK market and grant NPL and NCEL clubs the quality and technicality of Macron products. Class, design and reliability are some of Macron's defining features; the fact that several clubs have maintained an independent relationship with The Hero company even before this new partnership goes to show and substantiate these qualities.
