Macron and fc Viktoria Plzeň reveal the club's new “home” kit for 2022-2023
The echoes of celebrations for the sixth national championship title of FC Viktoria Plzeň , one of the leading clubs in the Czech Republic’s First League, have not yet died away and the forward-looking Red and Blues, in conjunction with technical sponsor Macron, have already revealed their new “Home” match kit for next season. The jersey carries the concept of the four main ‘streams’ that give energy to this club: players, fans, partners and the team staff. Symbolically, four is also the number of rivers on whose confluence the city of Pilsen was founded, depicted by the blue diagonal bands on the new jersey.
As usual, the new “Home” shirt is characterised by the team’s colours, red and blue. The V neck and sleeves are in blue with red trim. Red dominates the front and back of the shirt but a series of dye-sub printed diagonal blue stripes extend down from the left shoulder, fading away towards the bottom. The last of these fading blue stripes is broader than the others and extends as far as the side of the shirt. Below the four smaller stripes is a motif resembling a brush-stroke of slightly darker red.
The backneck is customised with the colours and name of the club and the words “HRÁČI, FANOUŠCI, PARTNERI, ZAMĚSTNANCI; (players, fans, partners, staff) appear inside diagonal blue bands like those on the outside of the shirt. The letters “FCVP”, standing for “Football Club Viktoria Plzeň”, are printed in white under the neck at the back. The club’s badge is embossed tone on tone at the bottom. The iconic Macron Hero logo of the Italian company appears on the right breast while the club badge of FC Viktoria Plzeň takes pride of place over the heart.
The shorts are red with blue stripes at the sides and the socks are red with a blue band at the top. The new Slim Fit “Home” shirt is made mainly from Piola, a fabric that creates a distinctly retro look, but modern micromesh inserts ensure excellent breathability.
