A PROJECT GUARANTEEING CONTINUITY BETWEEN THE SPORT AND THE TERRITORY

Volleyball has a long and glorious tradition in Vicenza. It is no coincidence that the PalaGoldoni has been a symbolic volleyball venue for a remarkable twenty years, with many players launched to the highest levels, most recently the current libero of the Italian national team "Moky" De Gennaro. After a dark period, in 2016 the activity was relaunched by the Vicenza Volley project, with the aim of bringing the first team back to Serie A. A new sporting adventure, starting from the B league and investing in the youth sector, driven by the philosophy "Volley forever". Through great attention and sensitivity to the territory, as well as ambitious but sustainable planning the clubs aims to ensure continuity between the love for the territory of Vicenza and the love for volleyball.

THE SERIE A RETURNS IN THE CITY OF PALLADIO

In the long love affair between the city and volleyball, one of the most exciting moments occurred a few months ago. After a season as protagonists in the B1 league, both in the regular season and in the playoffs, Vicenza Volley won promotion to the women's A2 league. A feat that brought the Serie A back to the city of Palladio thanks to the technical guidance of coach Luca Chiappini and the grit and determination of extraordinary athletes like Elena D'Ambros.

THE YOUTH SECTOR AS AN INVESTMENT INTO THE CLUB’S FUTURE

Investing in the youth sector is a social duty as well as an investment into the future. This philosophy, at Vicenza Volleyball, is a dogma. They continue growing talent in a healthy sporting environment which allows the psycho-physical growth of the athletes. Investing in young players means having a direct connection to the local area, entering into the hearts of fans and the local community. Particular attention is paid to the Academy of the youth sector and social solidarity activities. The projects Volley Vicenza Academy and Volley for Charity dedicate their attention to young people from schools and universities and non-profit associations in the area.

THE FUTURE? NEVER SAY NEVER.

The club has big ambitions. Above all, to prove competitive in a series as important as the A2 while building a vigorous path to the A1. An objective achievable through the involvement of the entire city of Vicenza. A city historically associated with the values of sport, which throbs for volleyball and for the team that represents it.

A growing partnership, destined to last over time: enhancement of the club through the style and elegance of its athletes, as well as the depiction of its history, identity, and values of a team thanks to the colours and symbols presented on their jersey.
