Connacht Rugby and Macron present the new 2024/25 Home Kit

The green of Ireland is always prominent on the shirts of Connacht Rugby, the club that plays in the United Rugby Championship and EPCR Challenge Cup. This year too – with the Irish club celebrating the 140th anniversary of its founding – green is the chosen colour for the team’s new Home kit. Green also delivers a message of sustainability since, like all the teamwear that Macron makes for the club, the new game set is made from Eco Fabric, a polyester material derived entirely from recycled post-consumer plastic.

Connacht Rugby’s new Home shirt has a bottle green polo neck with details in a lighter green and the sleeve cuffs repeat this same combination. Bottle green also appears in vertical bands that run down the sides of the shirt. The body, sleeves and shoulders of the shirt are in dark green decorated by graphics inspired by a topographic map of the county of Connacht. Gradual shading creates an effect of movement and depth on the front and back of the shirt. The inside neck label is customised in dark green with two diagonal lines in a brighter green. The Connacht Rugby logo appears along with the Macron logo and the words Designed in Bologna, certifying that the garment is conceived, designed and produced at the Macron Campus.

A white Macron Hero appears in the centre of the chest with the Connacht Rugby badge, featuring an eagle and an arm brandishing a sword, on the left. All the logos on the new Home kit are dye-sub printed and the shirt is complemented by dark green shorts with white drawstrings. The socks are in bottle green with two horizontal stripes in light green at the top. A white Macron Hero appears on the front and at the back, at calf level, are three inverted triangles in light green, with the word ‘CONNACHT’ beneath them. The shirt is made mainly from Eco-Armevo but with Eco-Boditex and Eco-Strong Mesh inserts for superior strength and performance, reduced weight and improved breathability.

The new Home shirt, along with all the other items of sportswear that Macron makes for Connacht Rugby, can be purchased from the club’s official retailer www.elverys.ie and also from the section of the macron.com website dedicated to the club.
