Bardenas reales inspire Macron’s new Away kit for Club Atlético Osasuna

The Navarre region of Spain is home to an area of unearthly landscape. Bardenas Reales is a unique environment and a biosphere reserve: its desert-like panoramas have been sculpted over the millennia by water, wind and sun. This unique place, already a symbol of Spain, has now inspired the new Away Kit of Club Atlético Osasuna. The new game set, conceived and developed in close collaboration with Macron – the club’s technical sponsor starting this season, is unique both for its graphics and for the message it conveys. The shirt embodies Osasuna’s sense of belonging to the region and also transmits a powerful message in favour of sustainability and respect for the environment, being made – like all the teamwear that Macron produces for sponsored clubs – entirely from Eco Fabric, a polyester fabric 100% derived from recycled plastic.

CA Osasuna’s new Away shirt for 2024/25 is sandy grey in colour just like the sand of the desert region of Las Bardenas. The shirt has a crew neck trimmed in dark blue. The sleeve cuffs and broad bands down the sides are in the same colour. The graphics that distinguish the shirt, front and back, are inspired by the landscape of ridges and gullies typical of part of the Bardenas, a natural area of around 42,000 hectares.

The inside neck label is customised with the badge of the club and the word ‘OSASUNA’ on a background that replicates the graphics of the Home shirt. Also on the label are the Macron logo and the words ‘Designed in Bologna’, certifying that the garment is conceived, designed and developed at the Macron Campus. The neck is also trimmed with a custom tape bearing the club’s motto in the Castilian and Basque languages: ‘VIBRA EN TI – ZUGAN TAUPAKA’ (It beats inside you). The Macron Hero and the Osasuna badge are both printed in silicone on the chest. The Castildetierra of Bardenas Reales, another symbol expressive of the club’s close ties to the region, is reproduced in blue behind the neck. Formed by erosion over the years, this natural rock formation has a large tone perched on top which has sheltered the ground beneath and gradually led to the development of a fragile pyramid shape.

The Away kit is completed by sandy grey shorts with blue bands on the sides. The socks are sandy grey with a blue band at the top. The Slim Fit shirt is made mainly from Eco Softlock with Eco Mesh inserts to minimise weight and improve breathability.
