The new 'Tsunami XI' ball on the pitch for the friendly match between FC Basel and Bayern Munich

A top-class friendly match at Sankt Jakob-Park, where FC Basel will host Bayern Munich on Saturday 6 January (kick-off at 15.30). It will be a high-level match between two teams full of history and trophies, which needs a ball up to the challenge. Together with the champions of both teams, the new Macron 'Tsunami XI' ball will be on the pitch and will make its debut in this top-class match.

The 'Tsunami XI' ball, entirely conceived and developed in the Macron Headquarters in Bologna, is characterized by a cutting-edge design. Consisting of 16 thermobonded panels, the outer surface is made of textured PU to ensure maximum performance and optimum control. A professional, FIFA certified match ball, also enriched by modern, geometric graphics where blue and light blue blend with the white of the ball.

For FC Basel, this will be a preview of what will become the norm for all Swiss professional clubs from next summer. The 2024-25 season will be Macron's first as the new Official Match Balls Partner for the Swiss Football League competitions, for which the Italian company will provide a cutting-edge ball featuring exclusive, fully customised graphics.

The 'Tsunami XI' will be featured as a high-level, high-performance match ball in the Macron 2024 catalogue, and will therefore soon be available for purchase on macron.com and from the Macron Sports Hubs and authorised retailers.
