Rugby World Cup France 2023, for Macron it will be a World Cup to be a star player

Today 8 September the tenth edition of the Rugby World Cup kicks off on the grass of the Stade de France in Saint-Denis. A unique event, where the heart and soul of world rugby meets every four years. 51 days of exciting challenges, 48 matches that will feature 20 teams divided into 4 groups, 9 French stadiums that will host champions from all over the Globe. All numbers that explain the magic of this event, where Macron will be represented in every match on the shirts of the Emirates World Rugby refereeing team and on the kits of seven national teams: Italy, Scotland, Wales, Georgia, Romania, Portugal and Samoa. Present on the pitch, but also in the stands with apparel from the official Rugby World Cup France 2023 merchandising line.

Seven International Federations will take the field with the Macron Hero on their chests, which are more than a third of the National Teams present at this French edition of the Rugby World Cup. In each of the four groups of the first phase there is always at least one “Macron team”: in Group A Italy, in Group B Scotland and Romania, in Group C Wales, Georgia and Portugal and in Group D Samoa. First on the field will be Italy (against Namibia), Romania (against Ireland) and Georgia (against Australia), all on 9 September. The following day it is the turn of Scotland and Wales against South Africa and Fiji respectively. Portugal’s match against Wales is scheduled for 16 September, while Samoa, the latest Federation to choose Macron as its technical partner, will take the field against Chile.

A presence that confirms and certifies Macron’s role as the leading international sportswear brand in the world of rugby. When the teams take to the pitch, they will have at their disposal technical garments of the highest quality, capable of ensuring great performance. The Macron Hero will stand out on jerseys which, for each national team, best expresses its history, symbols, identity and sense of belonging to the colours of its country, all thanks to an exclusive design and innovative graphics.

Macron’s presence at this Rugby World Cup represents a milestone for us and confirmation that we are a leader in the world of teamwear,” commented Gianluca Pavanello, Macron’s CEO. “Rugby is undoubtedly our world, and the values it represents are the same values on which we base our day-to-day business, including those of sustainability and inclusion. The partnership with World Rugby and the rugby federations fills us with pride. We are delighted to be protagonists of this great event and that the Macron Hero and the values it represents will be present in every challenge of this Rugby World Cup France 2023.”
