Macron is the new technical partner of Brazil’s CBF Referees
Referees from the world’s most successful football Federation will be sporting the Macron Hero logo as of this year. The partnership agreement with the Confederação Brasileira de Futebol is now official. In its position as Referee Match Kit Supplier, Macron will be kitting out all the referees engaged in the Brazilian championships organised by the CBF.
This is further proof of the international reach of both the quality and technical value of Macron’s garments dedicated to referees. The prestigious agreement with the CBF supplements the current partnership already in force with the UEFA since 2019, and those with the referee sections of the Real Federación Española de Fútbol, the Swiss Football Association and the Irish Football Association.
The agreement with the Confederação Brasileira de Futebol envisages the technical kitting out of referees engaged in all matches run and organised by the CBF for the next four sports seasons. From men’s Series A to Series D, three women’s football championships and the male and female under 17 and under 20 championships, the Copa and the Supercopa do Brasil, the Copa do Nordeste as well as the Copa Verde: these are all the tournaments at which Brazilian referees will be donning the Macron match kits.
“This agreement is extremely important and prestigious for us.” These were the words of Gianluca Pavanello, CEO of Macron, who went on to explain: “The allure and great visibility of Brazilian football will allow us to bring the quality, functionality and practicality of our garments made specifically to accommodate the needs and requirements of referees to this market. These products are the result of thorough research and development and I am confident they will prove popular with the Federation and with Brazilian referees”.
The president of the Brazilian Football Confederation, Ednaldo Rodrigues, emphasized the partnership and highlighted the importance of valuing referees: “At a time when Brazilian football has received the highest paying audience in its history, CBF is also pleased to announce the partnership with Macron, which dresses the best referees in the world and is also present in the biggest football leagues on the planet. This reflects the valorization of our refereeing, which has evolved significantly and reinforced our purpose of following the motto 'we protect the game'.”
The president of the CBF's Arbitration Commission, Wilson Seneme, highlighted the investment in refereeing: “It is important to emphasize that it is a brand that is present in the main leagues of the world. From now on, the same clothes worn by UEFA referees will be worn by referees in Brazilian championships and all divisions. We seek to provide the best conditions for refereeing. It is a quality material and we know that within the sports environment, this quality is also very important for professional performance.”
