Green, white, and symbols of the town and region for the new, ecologially sustainable shirts of Section Paloise

The green that identifies Section Paloise Béarn Pyrénées, the rugby club of the Pyrénées region that plays in the French Top 14, remains the main feature of the team’s shirts, along with symbols of the town and the region that the club represents. Green also suggests the sustainability of the shirts made by Macron, technical sponsor to the team. Pau, as the team is known, is the first rugby team to wear a kit made from Eco-Fabric (a material obtained from 100% recycled polyester). The team have worn this material for two seasons now to express their commitment to safeguarding and respecting the environment.

The new “Home” shirt is all in green apart from white trim on the neck and sleeve cuffs. On the inside, the back of the neck is customised with the colours and name of the club while on the outside it is printed with the motto “En Vert et Contre Tous”. The Macron Hero logo appears on the right shoulder while the Section Paloise Béarn Pyrénées badge is printed in the centre. The kit’s traditional home game symbol appears at the bottom of the back and takes the form of a tone on tone relief image of two cows, the symbol of the Béarn lfag. The cows also feature in the town’s coat of arms. The kit is completed by green shorts with two white bands on the sides. The socks too are green apart from a white cuff decorated with a green line.

The “Away” shirt is white with green trim on the neck and sleeve cuffs. At wording inside and outside the back of the neck is identical to that on the Home shirt. The Macron Hero logo appears in green on the right shoulder while the club’s badge decorates in the centre of the chest. The graphics on the front of this shirt pay homage to the peaks and passes of the Pyrenees mountains that surround the French town. The design features an outline of the mountain chain marked with the names of the most important and characteristic places. The shorts are white with green bands at the sides. The socks are in white too, apart from a green cuff with a horizontal white line.

Both shirts are BodyFit and made from Eco Armevo fabric with Eco Boditex inserts, materials that are not only light and breathable but extremely strong.
