European Cups, new formats. The Macron Hero is there!
After the preliminaries are over, the European football cups season gets into full swing with the new formats applied by UEFA, which provide for a single 36-team group. The resulting classification will determine which teams will advance directly to the round of 16, which will face a play-off to gain access and, finally, which will be eliminated. The format applies to all three UEFA competitions, namely the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League, in which Macron is always present with its clubs.
Eleven clubs with Macron Hero on their shirts are ready to take to the pitch to chase the dream of lifting a Cup to the sky and honour the colours of that city. In the UEFA Champions League, along with the exciting return of Bologna FC 1909, there will also be the multi-titled Red Star Belgrade. There will be four teams in the UEFA Europa League: Real Sociedad (Spain), PAOK Thessaloniki (Greece), Ferencvaros (Hungary) and Viktoria Plzen (Czech Republic). In particular, PAOK will meet all the other three clubs, giving life to three Macron derbies. There will be five Macron clubs in the UEFA Conference League: Apoel and Omonia (Cyprus), Vitoria SC (Portugal), The New Saints (Wales) and Vikingur (Iceland).
In the UEFA Champions League, Bologna FC 1909 has eight matches (four home, four away) in what is known as the 'league phase' and these are the opponents it will face: Borussia Dortmund (home), Liverpool (away), Shakhtar Donetsk (home), Benfica (away), Lille (home), Sporting (away), Monaco (home), Aston Villa (away).
As for Red Star Belgrade, the Serbian club will have two away Italian matches in Milan to face both AC Milan and Inter Milan. Crvena Zvezda's other opponents will be Barcelona (home), Benfica (home), Psv (home), Young Boys (away), Stuttgart (home), and Monaco (away).
Along with all these Macron teams, there is one that will never rest: that of the UEFA referees, who will be engaged on all the pitches of the three competitions. The Macron Hero will be present on the uniforms of all the referees because the Italian brand has been an 'Official UEFA Referee Match Kit Supplier' since 2019.
From September until May next year, European football's great and exciting spectacle will be on stage. Everyone will chase the dream of taking the field in the final act of each of these three competitions at the Allianz Arena in Munich for the Champions League, at the Estadio de San Mamés in Bilbao for the Europa League and at the Wroclaw Stadium in Wroclaw for the Conference League.
Macron wishes its clubs a European season full of satisfaction, exciting challenges and exhilarating performances, where the spirit and values of sport can be expressed at their best both on the pitch and in the stands.
